Well, it’s been a while.
I apologize for that. The Porch has two regular Blogtalkradio.com shows that have taken up much of our time. We do a weekly Online Bible Study at 7:30 pm EST and a talk show called Reflections In The Dark on Sundays at 7 pm which deals with the supernatural and paranormal in today’s world. If you have an interest in either please join us.
I’ve decided that I will stop by here regularly just to share thoughts, ideas, commentary and keep the dialogue going.
I wanted to let everyone know about a great book and author that has become a friend of The Porch.
For a long time I’ve been ranting about the fact that TV, Movies, Media is indoctrinating our children, youth and young adults with un-Godly demonic storylines. Whether it’s demons who can be heroes, vampires with souls or fallen angels seeking redemption they are being indoctrinated into accepting the “lie” and falling for an End Time delusion. The worst part of this is the fact that this is taking place in the Church as well as the World. I have seen how parents, youth pastors and church pastors do not see the danger of the Twilight Series or Harry Potter. That discussion is for another time.
The fact is that we spend so much time telling our children, youth and young adults what not to watch, read or listen to that we never tell what they can watch, read or listen to. Well, now I can.
For everyone who loves to read (and more should) and has an interest in the supernatural there is a book and author that I can heartily recommend.
Recently divorced and mired in a meaningless existence, Clay drifts from his drab apartment to his equally lusterless job as an editor for a small Boston press–until the night Lucian finds him and everything changes with the simple words, “I’m going to tell you my story, and you’re going to write it down and publish it.”What begins as a mystery soon spirals into chaotic obsession as Clay struggles to piece together Lucian’s dark tale of love, ambition, and grace–only to discover that the demon’s story has become his own. And then only one thing matters: learning how the story ends.

Inside Corner Book Reviews
I recommend that every youth pastor out there who wants to introduce their youth congregants to the reality of the angelic & demonic realm to use this book. It will offer avenues of discussion and Biblical teachings. It also offers a cautionary tale that they all need to know. How cool would it be to have an entire youth group reading a book and meeting to discuss it?!
If you are someone who calls yourself a Believer in Yeshua/Jesus and has spent your money on the Twilight or Harry Potter series you owe it to yourself and your spirit to get this book. One, you will be getting a good book to read. Two, you will supporting a Christian author. And, three, you will finally be reading the truth about the supernatural.
Don’t let the title or subject matter scare you off. You’ve not been given a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind ( 2 Timothy 1:7).
In the weeks to come I will be sharing about Tosca Lee’s second book, Havah the Story of Eve once I’ve read it. If you read the book and enjoy it please let Tosca know by going to her website (http://www.toscalee.com) and telling her your found out about her from The Porch!
As a regular part of The Porch we will be recommending books to read to help you get ready for what is coming.
Thanks for stopping by and remember that there is a roaring lion out there seeking whom he may devour. Be on guard, vigilant and alert so that you can resist him and live the victorious life in the Name of the Lord!
Shalom & Blessings,
